WMC girls set up rematch with Kent City in district finals

A big third quarter put Western Michigan Christian into the lead and helped send the Warriors to the Friday's Class C district championship game after a 40-30 win over North Muskegon on Wednesday at Holton.

WMC advances to play undefeated and state-ranked Kent City in the finals on Friday. Kent City defeated Ravenna, 61-28, in the second game Wednesday.

WMC (19-3) struggled early and trailed the Norsemen 12-8 at the first stop and 17-14 at halftime.

The Warriors outscored North Muskegon 16-6 in the third quarter to lead 30-23 going into the final period.
