Bucs' 1-2-3 punch leads to knockout punch of Inkster

On offense, the Buccaneers’ point guard has the luxury of passing to Alex Law, one of the most outstanding 3-point shooters in the state.

On defense, Davis knows that if she gambles and gets beat, no problem. Abby Cole and her lanky 6-foot-5 frame is waiting in the paint to swat away any attempts.

“It’s just a great package,” Davis said with a grin following the Buccaneers’ 43-40 win over Inkster in Friday’s Class A semifinals at the Breslin Center in East Lansing.
“Last game, I got in foul trouble, and coach was on me hard-core not to foul. So Abby just said, ‘Let ‘em go,’ and I was like, ‘Alright.’ So she’s blocking shots and Alex is shooting 3’s, it’s a win-win for everybody.”

Everybody but Grand Haven’s opponents. The Bucs are 26-1 heading into today’s Class A title game against Grosse Point South, and a huge reason for their success is the outstanding play of their three big guns.

Law drew oohs and ahhs from the Breslin Center crowd as she knocked down four long 3-pointers on Friday. Her long-range proficiency was the talk of the media room after the game. Reporters kept asking her about her range and what she thought about shooting at the Breslin Center.

“I mean, it’s just a hoop, so I’m going to shoot when I’m open,” she said before looking at Davis and cracking up laughing. “My range just depends on how close the game is. Normally I just shoot it if I’m open. I don’t worry about how far away I am.”

That is the main key for his success and his win over that match. Good for him to have those punch combinations and its really a helpful one. Worth all the trainings that you've done. Congratulations for that. I want to give you a price for that, a ticket for the upcoming marquez vs pacquiao fight this December. I know you love this match.
