GH baseball drops high-scoring opener to Rockets

Grand Haven's varsity baseball team suffered an 11-10 loss at the hands of Reeths-Puffer in Wednesday's season-opener.

The Buccaneers belted out 12 hits, led by senior Matt Kroll, who finished with three hits and three RBIs.

Brody Anderson, Jeff Stevens and Cody Jonas each had two hits for the Bucs.

Mike Ginocchio threw four innings on the mound for Grand Haven, with Doug Zelenka and Ty VanWieren each pitching an inning.

The Bucs are off until after Spring Break.
