The Vikings took advantage of the Bucs’ inexperience by sweeping both games of a doubleheader, 10-0 and 7-1, at Grand Haven High School.

The Bucs were no-hit by Vikings’ starting pitcher Caileigh Stout in Game 1. She also struck out eight batters and allowed just one walk.

Senior Abby Styck got the starting nod for the Bucs and took the loss.

In Game 2, Bucs’ freshman pitcher RJ Morrow had a rough second inning, as the Vikings scored four of their five runs on wild pitches and passed balls. Whitehall would go on to win, 7-1.

Grand Haven scored its lone run on a steal from Emily Shaner.

Megan Stout, the sister of Caileigh, earned the pitching victory for the Vikings, as she hurled a complete game.
