WMC roundup: Warriors' soccer blasts North Muskegon

Western Michigan Christian's varsity girls soccer team opened its season with an impressive 5-1 win over North Muskegon on Wednesday.

Alexys Riksen led the way with three goals and two assists for the Warriors.

Mykayla Denison and Timera Crosby also scored goals for the Warriors, who held a 28-7 advantage in shots.


Western Michigan Christian’s boys and girls track and field teams opened their seasons at the Holton Invitational on Wednesday.

The Warriors’ boys placed third out of four teams with 64 points while the girls were fourth with 32 points.

Ravenna won both the boys and the girls competitions.
