Carr will be in hosting a special event for the mentoring program to promote its Outdoor Challenge component, which matches adult volunteers with youth and allows them to participate in activities such as hiking, fishing, rock climbing, and more.

At 5:30 p.m., a select group of local athletes and personalities has been invited to meet with Carr for the opportunity to learn more about how they can support mentoring.

At 6 p.m., the general public is welcome to hear Carr speak about his experiences with mentoring across the state and hear about how to become a mentor. Following the program, attendees are welcome to join current Journey 4-H matches in geocaching and night hiking activities on the beautiful Hemlock Crossing campus.
