Grand Haven's varsity girls golf team scored its first win of the season, defeating Grandville at Wallinwood Springs Golf Course.

The Buccaneers shot a 204 to the Bulldogs, 215.

Megan Hendrickson paced the Bucs with a 48, followed by Amanda Merz with a 50, Hailey Watkins with a 52 and Kaelie DeVries with a 54.

WMC SOCCER HUMBLED BY MONA SHORES

Western Michigan Christian’s varsity boys soccer team suffered a humbling 6-0 loss at the hands of Mona Shores on Thursday.

“Some games show what you have, and some show what you are missing,” said WMC coach David Hulings. “Mona Shores exposed a lot of what we are still missing and have to work on. Your youthfulness was exposed by a strong senior-led team.”
