Hector Chavez, John Buitenhuis and Isaac Braak scored for the Buccaneers, who are now 5-3-1 overall.

TROJANS MERCY TIGERS
Fruitport’s won its Lakes Eight Conference opener on Tuesday, hammering Grant, 9-0.
The game was ended at halftime due to the MHSAA mercy rule.
The Trojans are now 5-3-1 overall.
WARRIORS WIN LEAGUE OPENER
Western Michigan Christian scored three first-half goals and hung on for a 3-0 opening River Valley Conference win Tuesday over visiting Wyoming Tri-Unity Christian.
Junior Chaise Schuiteman started the scoring on an unassisted goal. Alex Rop and Noah Wildeman then scored to make it 3-0. Alec Breit had two assists.
The Warriors, ranked third in the state in Division 4, are now 4-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
