Grand Haven shot a respectable team score of 192, but could only watch as visiting Hudsonville went a little lower.

The Eagles improved to 3-0 in O-K Red Conference play, shooting a 184 at Grand Haven Golf Club. Their No. 1 girl, Bethany Meyer, carded a 38.

“I was really pleased with our scores,” Glass said. “But Hudsonville had a great day. For their No. 1 girl to shoot a 38 at Grand Haven is pretty darn good. That was tough to overcome.”

The Bucs’ low score was posted by Megan Hendrickson, who carded a 45. Hailey Watkins added a 46, while Martha Ramsey shot a 50 and Kaelie DeVries a 51.

“Megan and Hailey are really in a groove as far as consistency,” Glass said. “A 192, I’d take that most of the time. The girls are still improving. I think we’re going to do some great things here in the second half of the season.”

WMC’s Abbie Alfree led the way with a 44, followed by Olivia Vanardo’s 52, Hannah Recknagel’s 57 and Paige Recknagel’s 64.
