The Lakers shot a season-best score of 386. Forest Hills Eastern won the event with a 321.

Karissa Raschke led the Lakers with a round of 93, followed by Emma Conroy with a 95. Ginnie Olszewski followed with a 97; Faith Lee shot a 101, and Kayle Krueger carded a 102.

“We had a nice grouping,” coach George Bitner said. “I changed Kayla’s hand position on the range, and she shot a 46 on the back nine. Before that, her best score had been a 54.

“Now we have to get four girls in the 90s. We were close (on Saturday).”

The Lakers host Kenowa Hills today, with the JV squad competes in the Maple Hill Invitational.

Spring Lake junior Ryan Fedewa won the flight championship at No. 1 singles at Saturday’s Holland Quad.

It was the lone victory for the Lakers, which finished in fourth place with six points. Zeeland East won the event with 18.
