Byron Center was a runaway winner at the event with 602 points, while the Lakers managed 308. Manistee was third with 288.5, followed by Mona Shores (225), Hudsonville Unity Christian (216), Ludington (208) and Muskegon Catholic Central (165.5).
Spring Lake’s Paige Rubleski took second-place in the 11-dive program with a score of 299.10.
Makayla Boyink was right on her heels with a 286.30 total. Shelby Munch’s score of 238.50 was good for 10th place.
“It’s great to get 11 dives in so early in the season to help prepare the girls for the conference and regional meet,” said Lakers’ diving coach Barb Brackett. “They know what they need to work on and perfect.”
