Mission accomplished.

The Buccaneers placed third at Monday’s O-K Red postseason meet at the very difficult Thornapple Pointe Golf Course, shooting a team score of 394.

East Kentwood took first at 365, followed by Rockford at 374.

Martha Ramsey led the Bucs with a career-best round of 92.

“For her shooting that score at that course, I was very happy for her,” coach Roger Glass said.

Hailey Watkins shot a 95 and earned all-conference honors, while Megan Hendrickson shot a 102 and Kaelie DeVries added a 105.

“The preseason conference meet we finished last, but we kept improving, and I’m looking forward to Thursday’s regional meet at Sunnybrook,” Glass said. “Hopefully we can put four scores together and sneak in there in the top three.”

The top three from Thursday’s regional advance to the state finals.
