GH tennis narrowly misses on advancing to state finals

Grand Haven's varsity boys tennis team capped off a strong season with a fourth-place finish at Friday's Division 1 regional meet at Holland.

The Buccaneers finished just two points away from earning a coveted trip to the state finals.

Grand Haven’s Bryce Peterson and Evan Miller won a regional championship at No. 4 doubles.

Teammates Cam Rickard and DJ Thielbar finished runner-up at No. 1 doubles.

The Bucs finished their season with a 4-3 overall record, including a 3-2 mark in the O-K Red, where they placed fourth.

They won the Holland Tri Tournament and the Buccaneer Fall Invite earlier this fall.
