The Lakers dominated the Eagles, winning in three games, 25-8, 25-10, 25-11.

With the victory, Spring Lake (22-19) advances to Saturday’s district championship match.

The Lakers will take on state-ranked Whitehall, which defeated Orchard View in three games on Thursday.

“Passing and serving were the keys for the win tonight,” said Lakers’ coach Sarah Bulthuis, whose team is peaking at just the right time. “Bre Burns did a great job at the net with five blocks tonight.”

Kelsee Zuidema led the Lakers with 12 kills to go along with two blocks.

Lydia Suchecki served well for Spring Lake as she finished with four aces and 13 points. Suchecki also recorded five kills.

Courtney Kyser chipped in with nine kills, nine points and two aces, while defensively, Brooke TenBrink, Padley Gallagher and Rachel Pennington recorded nine, eight and seven digs, respectively.

Emily Blahnik had 18 assists from her setter’s position. She also contributed to the Lakers’ tough serving, as she recorded 12 points and three aces.
