Lakeshore Premier captures division championship

The Lakeshore Premier U17 girls soccer team recently clinched the Premier 1 division championship with a 1-0 victory over previously unbeaten PSG Michigan Gators.

Lakeshore Premier scored on a header goal off a corner kick to clinch the title.

For the season, Lakeshore Premier posted an 8-0-1 record in divisional play, scoring 16 goals and surrendering only one.

Premier 1 is the highest level of premier soccer in Michigan.

Lakeshore Premier consists of players from Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Fruitport, Western Michigan Christian and Orchard View high schools.

Over the past three seasons, this team has posted a combined record of 25-0-2 in league play.



Congratulations to this group. They are demonstrating the quality of youth soccer to be found along the lakeshore!
