Despite Ruter's two wins, SL swimming falls to Holland Christian

Spring Lake’s Jesse Ruter captured victories in both the 100- and 200-yard freestyle events on Tuesday at the Spring Lake Aquatic Center, but it wasn’t enough to propel the Lakers past Holland Christian.

The Maroons handed the Lakers their fourth dual meet loss of the season, 109-76.

Lakers’ coach Jason Lintjer also liked the showing from Blake Henning in the 200 individual medley, as he won in 2 minutes, 21.8 seconds.

Lintjer also noted that Alex Kuhn had a solid swim in the 100 butterfly.
