Bucs' boys, girls fall to Grandville

Junior Varsity

Grand Haven was dealt a 31-17 loss to Grandville on Thursday. Hanna Rinkevicz totaled four points, nine rebounds and four steals for the Bucs, while Keaghan Rickard added five points and Amy Kober had six rebounds and three blocks.

Visiting Fremont bested Fruitport on Thursday, 52-24, despite nine points and 10 rebounds from the Trojans’ Alyssa Veihl. Kelsey Alviar added five points and four steals.


Grand Haven defeated Grandville on Thursday, 34-29, to improve to 9-4 overall and 1-1 in the O-K Red Conference. Hannah Kenny led the Bucs with eight points, Courtney Hylok added five, and Pixie Bitner, Lindsey Dewitt, and Lauren Strong scored four points apiece.


Junior Varsity

Grand Haven suffered a 29-28 loss to Grandville on Thursday. Schaefer Thelen and Adam Abraham each scored 11 for the Bucs, who are 8-4 overall and 0-3 in O-K Red play.


Grand Haven defeated Grandville, 68-25, behind 13 points from Drew Hewitt and 10 from David Veurink. Jason Long and Lukas Steffel each scored eight.

North Pointe Christian pounded Spring Lake, 71-28. Aaron Tilton and Drew Johnson each scored six, while Erik Sievertsen added five and Brendan Sanderson had five blocks.
