Central High School’s boys basketball team improved to 6-0 on Thursday with a 63-33 win over the Barnabas Jaguars at Faith Reformed Church in Zeeland.

Central received a game-high 17 points from Mike Penland, while head coach Brent Boerema also commended center Anthony Perrier.

“Anthony played tough down low, scoring all seven of his points in the second half,” Boerema said.

Jake Lovett and Tyler Little chipped in with 10 and eight points, respectively, for the Phoenix, while Evan Molina provided a spark off the bench with three points and two steals.

“Evan was ready to go from the start and made some great hustle plays for us,” Boerema said.
