Grand Haven’s varsity hockey team suffered a 2-1 loss to Flint Powers Catholic on Friday night.
The Buccaneers fell behind 1-0 after the opening period, but tied the game when James Dyksterhouse lit the lamp in the second, assisted by Jake Steggles and James Calkins.
Flint scored the game-winner in the third.
Goalie Zach Kooi had a big game for the Bucs, making 34 saves. Austin Kane made 37 stops for Flint Powers Catholic.
The game was very cleanly played by both teams as the combined for just three penalties.
The Bucs host Rockford for their final regular-season game on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Edge Ice Arena in Holland. The Bucs will also celebrate Senior Night in that game.
