Three Grand Haven wrestlers claimed individual regional championships, and two others finished in the top four in their weight class to qualify for the individual state meet at Saturday's regional competition, held at Grand Haven Fieldhouse.

Buccaneers' 160-pounder Dakota Juarez remained undefeated on the season at 41-0 with his three wins on Saturday. Connor Moynihan at 171 pounds and Camden Bertucci at 112 pounds also claimed regional titles for the Bucs, while Matt Mulcahy took third at 215 pounds and Antinio Reyes placed fourth at 130 pounds.

The Division 1 state finals will be held at the Palace of Auburn Hills the weekend of Feb. 28 through March 2.

Juarez, a junior, opened his day in impressive fashion as he pinned Tighler Truman of Jackson in just 12 seconds. He scored a technical fall over Jacob Harvey of Battle Creek Lakeview in the semifinals, then beat Travis Vanderveen of Portage Central 19-5 in the regional final.

Moynihan, a senior, improved to 37-2 on the season with three dominating wins. He scored a technical fall over Nolan Thomas of Portage Northern; pinned Jacob Taylor of Battle Creek Central; and won via a technical fall over Nick Verran of Grand Ledge in the championship match.

Bertucci, a sophomore, is now 40-1 on the season. He pinned J.C. Taic of Pickney in the opening round; pinned West Ottawa's Gaven Daniels in the semifinals; and beat Romeo Riley of Kalamazoo Central, 8-4, in the final.

Mulcahy, a senior, started off strong, pinning Dalton Smallwood of Howell in just 44 seconds. He ran into a tough opponent in Grandville's Courtney Meyers and was pinned in 3:08 in the second round, then bounced back and scored a major decision over Brandon Houle of Rockford.

In the third place match, Mulcahy scored a 7-3 decision over Alex Peterson of East Lansing.
