Western Michigan Christian held Holland Black River to two points in the third quarter en route to a 43-28 win and a berth in Friday's Class C district final at Saugatuck at 6 p.m.
The Lady Warriors raced out to a 13-3 first quarter lead, but the River Rats outscored WMC 12-5 in the second quarter to cut it to 18-15 at halftime. WMC led 29-17 going into the fourth quarter.
WMC, 16-6 on the season, will face host Saugatuck, 48-35 winner Wednesday over Fennville, in the district final.
Senior guard Julie Merz led the Warriors with 13 points, including two 3-pointers, five assists and three steals. Vanessa Eekhoff added a double-double with 10 rebounds and 10 points while Alyssa Wright and Rachel Bruinsma each scored eight and seven points respectively. Bruinsma also had 13 rebounds and six steals.
WMC coach Mike Henry said his team held them in check the first half, but didn't move quick enough to keep from following them. Black River made 10 of their 12 second quarter points on free throws.
