A 10-0 run to start the second half Friday broke open a 24-24 tie at halftime and helped send Western Michigan Christian to a 51-40 district Class C title win over host Saugatuck.
The Lady Warriors (17-6) will face Delton Kellogg (19-4), a 42-32 winner Friday night over Galesburg Augusta, at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Springsport in regional action.
The lead changed hands several times in the first half with the Warriors up 13-12 at the first stop. It was tied 24-24 at intermission, but WMC went up 38-29 at the end of three. The Lady Warriors scored 10 points and held the Indians scoreless in the third quarter until they hit a free throw with 3:10 left.
Vanessa Eekhoff led the Warriors with 19 points, followed by Rachel Bruinsma with 13 and Julie Merz with 10.
Bruinsma also grabbed 10 rebounds while Merz and Jessica Knoll each dished off five assists.
Bella Perez-Pala led the Indians with 13 points.
"We usually play stronger the second half and we felt the longer this game went on we would get better," WMC coach Mike Henry said. "These are 12 great girls."
