Despite dominating the shots on goal statistic, Grand Haven’s varsity girls soccer team couldn’t crack the scoring column and settled for a 0-0 tie with rival Mona Shores on Thursday.

The Buccaneers finished with 15 shots, including 10 on goal, to just eight shots for the Sailors. Grand Haven also had four corner kicks to Mona Shores’ one.

Both goalies were fantastic, as Grand Haven’s Faith Platz made five saves and Mona Shores’ Jessica Dubuc had 10 stops.

Lydia Wykamp had an active game in the offensive third for the Buccaneers with five shots.
