Springer's hat trick propels GH soccer

Bucs double up Reeths-Puffer, 6-3

Courtney Springer scored a hat trick on Tuesday, helping Grand Haven’s varsity girls soccer team double up Reeths-Puffer, 6-3.

Lydia Weykamp, Claire Borchers and Mallory Beswick also scored goals for the Bucs. Weykamp added three assists.

Taylor DeWitt also had an assist for Grand Haven.

Faith Platz made three saves to earn the win in goal.

Junior Varsity: Grand Haven improved to 4-0 with a 1-0 win over Reeths-Puffer. Bailey Colella scored the game’s lone goal. Lindsey Sherman earned the shutout in goal, while Rena Parker, Hannah Landman, Maggie McDonald, Emma McDonald and Allison Berger played outstanding defense.
