Spring Lake’s varsity boys lacrosse team pounded Lowell on Saturday, 13-0.

“We lost to them by one goal last year in our program’s very first playoff game, so we went into this game wanting to prove something to ourselves,” Spring Lake coach Doug Sharp said. “Our entire defense played great all day, only giving up sevens shots.”

Drew Carey and Dan Swart split time in goal and recorded the shutout.

Jack McKeough scored five goals for the Lakers, while Collin Betten had three goals. Collin Roberts, Michael Tomaszczyk, Chase Slagboom, Tucker Jenerou and Cory Stratz each added single goals.

“I was very proud of the focus, determination and hard work our team has at this point in the season,” Sharp said.

The Lakers host Grandville tonight, and at halftime, will honor the program’s seniors.

“These are the guys who started the program with me five years ago, so they have a special place in my heart,” Sharp said.
