Area lacrosse coaches come together to fight cancer

Charity game to be held at Buccaneer Stadium on Friday

High school lacrosse coaches from across the area will converge on Grand Haven to compete in the 616 Lacrosse Coaches Benefit Game to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

The game will take place at Buccaneer Stadium on Friday at 7 p.m.

Coaches of prep lacrosse teams in the 616 area code will participate in the game, which will also feature a fastest shot competition.

Grand Haven High School sophomore Tyler Drent, who is battling cancer, will sing the national anthem.
