Two course records were set at the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety Resistance Run Saturday, which helped raise money for the D.A.R.E. program.
Eric Nordman won the 10K portion of the event with a time of 37:34.4, and 14-year-old Chase Eslick finished the 5K in 18:58.2.
Grand Haven’s Erin Shibley was the top female finisher in the 10k with a time of 45:14.
Also finishing in the top 10 were: Roger Vargo (45:47), Anne Koopman (45:48), Bruce Terbeek (46:49), David Huisman (47:24), Margaret Retsema (47:31), Brian Erickson (48:15.5), Melanie Huisman (48:15.7) and Daniel Olson (51:33).
Chasing Eslick in the 5K were a couple of runners from Grand Haven.
Rick Womack finished second with a time of 25:31, and Nichole Eickholt came in third, clocking in at 28:25.
Other top 10 finishers were: Kyle Fitzgerald (28:25), Scott Sytsema (28:26), Sydney Stysema (28:26), Jeff Hawks (28:27), Renee Freeman (28:28), Dolores Trese (29:25) and Sadie Williams (31:24).
