Grand Haven’s girls swimming and diving team scored an exciting 161-154 win over East Kentwood on Thursday.

The meet was highlighted by the return of MacKenzie Landman, who had missed the early part of the season. She anchored the Bucs’ 200-yard medley relay with a great time of 26.3 seconds. That team, however, was touched out for a close loss.

The Bucs battled back thanks to great swims by Kate Armstrong and Sage Horan in the 50 freestyle, then Chloe Lalonde won the diving competition.

Stephanie Stantz won the 100 butterfly by a body length, then Becca Busby and Abby Poort finished 1-2 in the 500 freestyle. Casey Murphy added a fifth-place swim in that event.

Anna Kramer shot a one-over-par 38 to lead the Lakers. Ginny Olszewski followed with a 44, while Kayla Krueger shot a 45. Emma Conroy and Faith Lee each shot a 46.
