They fought back to within five points after a tough third quarter that had them getting outscored 19-4, but that's as close as Western Michigan Christian got in a 52-42 loss Tuesday night at Whitehall.

WMC trailed 14-8 at the first stop, 26-23 at intermission and 45-27 going into the final quarter. The Warriors whittled the Whitehall lead down to five points with less than three minutes to go, but then the Vikings pulled away.
The Warriors were led by junior Lindsey Johnson with 15 points and senior Olivia Varnado with 11. Johnson also had six rebounds and three assists. Alyssa Wright, Sarah Hughes and Anneliese DeKam each had five rebounds.
