Every time host Western Michigan Christian got close Wednesday night, Potter’s House would hit a barrage of 3-pointers, allowing the Pumas to hold on for a 48-31 win.

The Warriors trailed 12-8 at the first stop, and managed to keep it close most of the second quarter until the Pumas hit three treys to take a 34-15 lead into the locker room.

WMC (1-2) held Potter’s House to one point in the third period while scoring nine to trail 35-24 going into the final quarter.

The Warriors trailed by just eight points and had several scoring opportunities in the final quarter until the Pumas again took advantage of some Warrior turnovers and again nailed three triples.

Sarah Hughes led WMC with 10 points, followed by Anneliese DeKam with eight and Olivia Varnado with six.
