Trojans' boys fall to Packers

The Fruitport boys basketball team fell to visiting Fremont Friday, 66-50.

Fremont outscored Fruitport 14-8 in the first quarter, giving the Packers some breathing room in the tighter second and third.

TROJANS’ GIRLS TOP PACKERS

Fruitport used a 19-point second quarter to take control in Friday’s 34-28 victory over Fremont.

The Packers led 4-3 after the first quarter, but Fruitport dominated the second to lead 22-8 at the half.

The Trojans received a balanced scoring effort, with freshman Iyana Brown leading the way with eight points. Bre Burns added seven and Francesca Cerniglia scored six.
