A quick, sharp-shooting Mona Shores team was too much for host Western Michigan Christian to handle Friday night and the Sailors left with a 68-43 win.

Shores led 15-9 at the first stop and increased it to 37-19 at intermission.

WMC was led by senior Bernard Smith with 15 points while sophomore James Godwin and junior Devin Eekhoff each chipped in with six.

GIRLS TOP KELLOGGSVILLE

WMC’s varsity girls basketball squad evened its season record at 2-2 as they defeated host Kelloggsville 47-30.

WARREN POURS IN 40 FOR FCC

Mike Warren suffered a devastating injury during the offseason — a broken leg that required major surgery and months of rehab.

He showed no signs of that injury Friday night.

The Fruitport Calvary Christian senior poured in 40 points and snatched down 15 rebounds during the Eagles’ 58-38 win over Walkerville.

Carson Burgess had eight points, while Isaac Burns pulled down 11 rebounds for FCC.
