One posthumously, as superfan Roger Breuker died on Nov. 23, at the age of 81.

WMC senior Bernard Smith placed a poster-size photo of Roger leading the “Go Green, Go White” cheer on his favorite seat. He then presented Roger’s widow, Marilyn, with a framed 8-by-10-inch photo.

The large crowd gave Roger and his family a big round of applause for all that he did for the school during his life. The applause was followed by a moment of silence to remember this great Warrior.

Breuker had been attending events for more than 50 years.

He usually sat in the front row of the bleachers at center court, directly across from the scorer’s table, which is where Marilyn and other family members were seated Friday night.

The crowd also honored Andrew Rop, a 2009 graduate of WMC who is home on leave from the U.S. Navy.
