MCC girls basketball runs past WMC

Visiting Muskegon Catholic raced out to a 15-2 first-quarter lead Thursday and never looked back in a 57-26 win over league foe Western Michigan Christian.

The Crusaders (4-4, 1-2 River Valley Conference) led 32-6 at halftime and 41-17 going into the final period.

Nine different players scored for MCC, led by Tae Robertson and Gabby Thelen with eight points each while Momo Neal chipped in four points and 11 assists.

WMC (3-6, 1-2 River Valley) was led by Anneliese DeKam with 11 points.

Junior Varsity: WMC won 37-25. Harlie Hubers tossed in 15 points and snared 13 rebounds to lead the Warriors.
