Buccaneers’ girls lacrosse pounds Panthers

Anna Gagnon accounted for seven points, with three goals and four assists, helping Grand Haven’s varsity girls lacrosse team score a commanding 22-5 win over West Ottawa on Tuesday.

Gagnon also had 10 ground ball change of possessions for the Bucs, who are now 2-0 on the young season.

Emily Betten poured in five goals and added four ground ball change of possessions, while Claire Reenders added four goals and an assist.

Anya Berghoef totaled three goals and three assists; Olivia Saber finished with two goals, an assist and six ground balls; and Courtney Hylok had two goals and an assist.

Jenna Jalving stopped nine shots to earn the win in goal for the Buccaneers.
