Ludington’s Jacquelyn Lynch has opened a lot of eyes with her torrid goal-scoring streak this spring.

But on Monday, Lynch found the going tough as she was and the visiting Orioles were shut out by host Spring Lake, 6-0.

It was the Lakers’ Saebryn Peel and Mariada Gezon who provided the offensive punch for the home team as they each scored twice.

Nora Adkins and Kayla Krueger also scored for the Lakers, who are now 2-0-1 on the season and 2-0 in Lakes Eight games.

Ayna Gordon made four saves in goal to record the shutout for Spring Lake.

Junior Varsity: The Lakers cruised to a 6-0 victory.

TROJANS BLANK VIKINGS

Fruitport also scored a shutout as the host Trojans downed visiting Tri-County, 2-0.

Carly Kryfka and Haylie Hanks scored the Trojans’ goals, with Kaylee Parisian and Emily Winicki providing assists.

Disappointing there was no media there taking any pics and that the story takes this long to post.
