Reid Murphy fired a round of 41, leading the Buccaneers’ boys golf team to a pair of O-K Red victories on Tuesday.
Grand Haven’s total of 171 was better than both West Ottawa (178) and Hudsonville (184) at Grand Haven Golf Club.
“The team held their composure during the day despite a few costly errant shots,” said coach Randy White. “I believe the long winter is still lingering in our game, but with any luck, both the weather and the scores will heat up soon.”
Tyler VandenBand carded a 42 for the Bucs. Matt Nalley shot a 43, followed by Even Mowery with a 45, Alex Christiansen with a 46, and Noah Baumgarner with a 50.
The Bucs visit Rockford to take on the top-ranked Rams on Thursday at 4 p.m.
“This meet with challenge us not only because of the nature of the competition, but we will also be walking on a course we have never seen as Rockford moved into another house of play,” White said. “The great thing about this year’s team is that they are up for the challenge.”
