The Grand Haven girls soccer team defeated Hudsonville in overtime on Tuesday, 2-0.
Bailey Colella and Mallory Beswick were the two scorers for the visiting Buccaneers, with Mya Copado and Jenna Winkler assisting. Veronica Booth and Faith Platz each had two saves in goal.
WMC TAKES OUT TRI-UNITY
Tuesday’s soccer game between Western Michigan Christian (6-1) and Tri-Unity was shortened due to lightning, but not before the Warriors started raining goals.
WMC found the back of the net seven times, to take a 7-0 shutout win on the road.
Alyssa Benedict led WMC with three goals, Megan Teeter booted in two, and Jessica Kinnucan added one. Shelby Lile, Alexys Riksen and Kinnucan each had an assist. Lindsey Johnson grabbed six saves in net.
Junior Varsity: WMC scored a 7-0 road win over Fremont. Dorie Bekins and Molly Patton each scored twice for the Warriors, while Brianna Garceau, Macy Gentry and Kaylee Collins each found the back of the net once.
