NOTICE The 5th annual Katty Shack 5K & 1 Mile Walk/Run to benefit the Crime Victim Foundation will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2014 at 9 a.m. The 5K route starts at the end of Taylor Street by the entrance to the employee parking lot of NOCH, following the bend in the road on to Wisconsin and down to the stop sign at Grand and Wisconsin where participants will turn right and follow Grand all the way to Harbor. At Harbor, they will go right and follow Harbor all the way down to Sherman and Harbor. Turning right on to Sherman, walkers and runners will travel up the hill and go all the way down to Sheldon. At Sheldon everyone turns right and follows Sheldon along to Marion, turning left at this point. The walk/run finishes at the top of the hill at Marion and Hillcrest. The 1 Mile Walk/Run will start immediately after the 5K participants take off. It will begin at the same place the 5K starts, at the end of Taylor Street by the entrance to the employee parking lot of NOCH, only following Taylor down to Sheldon and turning left, staying on the sidewalk on the left hand side of the street. At Duncan Woods, participants turn left and follow the road past the barricade down to the orange cones and turn around to travel down the road back out of Duncan Woods, back to Sheldon, turning right. They will stay on the sidewalk on the right side of road all the way down to Marion where they will turn left and go up the hill to the finish at Marion and Hillcrest. The roads will be temporarily blocked off between 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.
