Ferrysburg City Council Meeting Synopsis- April 20, 2015 1 Mayor Ruiter called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. 2. Present: Daniel Ruiter, Rebecca Hopp, Regina Sjoberg, Scott Blease, Mike DeWitt, Kathleen Kennedy. 3. Approved March 16, 2015 regular meeting minutes as printed. 4. Approved Monday, July 6 as holiday for City employees for the year 2015 only. 5. Approved the Mayor's appointment of City Council Member Mike DeWitt to the HTMMTS Board and City Council Member Kathy Kennedy to the Beautification Commission. 6. Grand Haven Mayor Geri McCaleb and Grand Haven City Manager Pat McGinnis presented City Council Members with drawings for waterfront stadium. 7. A public hearing on Ordinance No. 285, an Ordinance to amend the City Code by amending Chapter 154, Zoning, Article II Definitions, Section 2.20 and Article III, General Provisions, Section 3.370 Keeping of Animals was held. 8. Ordinance No. 286, an Ordinance to amend Chapter 94 of the Ferrysburg City Code, Park Rules and Regulations was introduced on first reading. 10. Selected Johnston Boiler Company, LLC as the 2015 recipient of the Chamber Business Recognition Award. 11. Adopted a resolution designating June 17, 2015, as Business Recognition Day. 12. Approved a bid for a 2015 Backhoe from Michigan Cat for $108,808 and to trade-in the 2005 backhoe or sell the 2005 backhoe for $30,000. 13. Presentation for appointment to the City Council was received from J. Patrick Twa. 14. Appointed J. Patrick Twa to City Council for a term ending November 16, 2015. 15.
