City of Ferrysburg City Council Meeting Synopsis April 7, 2014 1. Mayor Ruiter called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. 2. Council Members Present: Dan Ruiter, Rebecca Hopp, Michael DeWitt, Scott Blease, Regina Sjoberg, Kathleen Kennedy. Council Members Excused: Chris Larson. 3. Approved the March 17, City Council meeting minutes as printed. 4. Approved the appointment of Joseph Sage to the Kitchel-Lindquist-Hartger Dunes Preserve Board. 5. Approved a request from the Kitchel-Lindquist-Hartger Dunes Preserve Board to hire security at the Dunes Preserve. 6. Tim Smith, Ottawa County Central Dispatch explained the new Smart911 service offered by Ottawa County Central Dispatch. 7. Approved placing on the August 5 Primary Election ballot a North Ottawa Council on Aging Millage Renewal Proposal for .2500 mills for years 2015 through 2024. 8. Ordinance No. 282, an Ordinance to Amend Chapter 150 of the City Code, Building Regulations, to amend provisions regarding rental Permits was introduced on first reading. 9. Approved a bid for a Cutter and Spreader Rescue Tool Set from AMKUS. 10. Selected Shoreline Sport and Spine as the 2014 recipient of the Chamber Business Recognition Award. 11. Adopted a resolution designating June 18, 2014, as Business Recognition Day. 12. City Council Members discussed the Police Services for the City of Ferrysburg.
