2012 Lake Mich. Circle Tour map available

The 2012 Lake Michigan Circle Tour and Lighthouse Map is now available.

This free travel map offers a source for discovering the lighthouses that dot the Lake Michigan shoreline.

It features the 1,100-mile Lake Michigan Circle Tour Route through four states, mapping more than 100 lighthouses around Lake Michigan and the Straits of Mackinac.

The map spotlights 22 lighthouses; and includes a picture of the light, additional structural details and special features of each selection. Additional color-coded icons on the map can be used for trip planning; and include ideas on where to stop to dine, lodge, visit a museum or shop for a souvenir.

“This annual map is the perfect addition to any lighthouse enthusiasts collection, and this year is especially outstanding,” said Kelly McGrail, director of marketing for the West Michigan Tourist Association. “In celebration of the association’s 95th anniversary, the map design is inspired by antique nautical prints.”
