Cadillac woman, 91, dies in crash with church bus

A 91-year-old woman whose car hit a church bus carrying 38 children has died at a hospital in Michigan’s northern Lower Peninsula.

The Cadillac News reported that Mae Ella King of Cadillac died Sunday at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

The Wexford County Sheriff’s Office said King turned into the path of the bus Friday morning after pulling out of her driveway. King was trapped in her car.

No children from the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Grand Rapids were hurt. The bus was headed to a ski resort about 40 miles northwest of Cadillac.
