Hiker and author to speak at Loutit Dist. Library

Loreen Niewenhuis, author of “A 1,000 Mile Walk on the Beach,” will present a discussion about her adventurous story from her walk around Lake Michigan at Loutit District Library at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5.

It will take place in Program Room A of the library, 407 Columbus Ave.

The presentation will include a discussion about her 64-day, 1,000 mile adventure — with photos she took along the way, followed by questions and answers. Niewenhuis will have books available to purchase and sign following her program.
