Grand Haven City Manager Pat McGinnis received the annual Excellence Award in Local Government during the annual Michigan Local Government Management Association Conference.

This award is given to one municipal manager or assistant manager who distinguishes themselves both personally and professionally during the previous year.

“I’m happy to say that, during 2011, we (the city) were able to continue delivering the same — if not better — quality service for a significantly reduced cost,” McGinnis said. “It is a humbling experience to receive this award from my peers. They are an accomplished group of dedicated professionals.”
