Record turnout for Winterfest Euchre Tournament

The Grand Haven Elks Lodge was the host for the annual Winterfest Euchre Tournament. 

Sheryl Westcott, exalted ruler of Elks No. 1200, said Saturday’s tournament was a record turnout.

“We had so many reservations, we conducted two tournaments — upstairs and downstairs,” she said. “There was a total of 88 teams that came to play.”

Upstairs winners: (1) Joe Dishman of Zeeland and Roger Calanchi of Grand Haven, (2) Mary and Mick Morden of Nunica, (3) Ruth Marlink of Zeeland and Tyler Bertsch of Whitehall.

Downstairs winners: (1) David Bancroft of Spring Lake and George Underhill of Grand Haven, (2) Nelson Green of Grand Haven and Vern Green of Muskegon, (3) Teresa and George Wrathell of Livonia.
