More than 250 runners braved blustery conditions to compete in Saturday’s Rotary Winter Walk and Fun Run in downtown Grand Haven.

Ryan Duff, 18, a senior at Grand Haven High School, was the overall race winner with a time of 17 minutes, 22.2 seconds. Duff, who will run collegiately at Grand Valley State University, earned all-state status in cross country this past fall.

Emily Fisher, 22, also of Grand Haven, was the top female finisher and came in 10th overall at 19:45.7.

It is easy to be a critic, migpilot. Should not the first sentence of your comment end with a question mark?

Is it too much to ask that the newspaper finds journalists that understand basic word usage. As mere readers, I guess we must "bare" the mediocrity. Then again, maybe it was a play on words missing the quotation marks.
