A wedding at Central Park forced the pirates to Loutit District Library's parking lot, and a thundershower Saturday afternoon forced them indoors to the library.
"It was drenching rain,' said Andrea Jones, one of the vendors at the Michigan Pirate Festival. "However, being pirates, we're used to life aboard ship - and being on the sea, we get wet. So we're used to it.'
The library closed at 5 p.m. Saturday, sending the pirate fest back outside to the library's parking garage.
