Ottawa County residents can breathe a little easier, according to the results of the American Lung Association's annual report released this week.
According to the "State of the Air 2012' findings, the county's air quality has improved from an F to a C grade, based on ozone pollution.

Contractors knocked the false front off the former Porenta's Furniture store, 111 N. Third St., and cut several new windows into the brick building.

Police say they've received a number of tips after releasing surveillance photos of possible suspects in credit card scams, but the investigation is continuing.
"We've gotten multiple tips through calls to the department and through Silent Observer,' Detective Bruce Morningstar of the Fruitport Township Police Department said Thursday afternoon. "I think things are coming together.'
