A Muskegon man accused of taking a gun into the Grand Haven post office is now being charged in federal court. George Edward Covington III, 42, was indicted April 12 by a grand jury on federal weapons and drug felony charges related to the Grand Haven incident, according to Ottawa County Prosecuting Attorney Ron Frantz.

A Grand Haven man's spring fling on his motorcycle turned into a struggle for survival when a Chevrolet Suburban struck him on St. Patrick's Day. Doug Furton had just returned home from a trip celebrating his 10-year anniversary with his wife, Anne Marie Fauvel, when the accident happened.
