Tribune Sports Writer Nate Thompson: What concerns me the most in this series is the Tigers' bats being shut down by the Giants after a lengthy break, and Detroit's bullpen imploding. The Tigers' offense hasn't exactly set the world on fire in this postseason and they need someone to step up to avoid the Giants completely pitching around Miguel Cabrera. How about an unsung hero such as Alex Avila or Andy Dirks?
